Neurovascular thrombectomy devices are specialized medical devices used to remove blood clots (thrombi) from arteries in the brain. They are primarily used to treat acute ischemic stroke caused by large vessel occlusion (LVO), helping restore blood flow and reduce brain damage.

Mechanical thrombectomy has become a standard treatment for eligible patients and is typically performed by an interventional neuroradiologist, endovascular neurosurgeon, or interventional neurologist.
